In collaboration with the best suppliers of central Sardinia, we decided to organize a photo shoot focused on a country wedding.
The idea was to create images in a rustic style, elegant but not overly formal, far from the beaches and from the usual tourist clichés. The element from which we drew inspiration is Mount Ortobene, which stands at the feet of the city of Nuoro.
In the words of Grazie Deledda, winner of the Nobel Prize in literature: “It is not true that Ortobene can be compared to other mountains, Ortobene is unique in the world”
Among the large variety of spectacular vegetation of this mountain, we chose a majestic forest situated in the property of the Roccas farm, characterized by high forests of oaks with a sparse undergrowth of hawthorn, ivy, holly, cyclamens, orchids, holly and cistus. So the colors chosen for the preparations are those of the forest: white, beige, brown, green and cyclamen.
The floral compositions, the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s bottoniere are made with some of these plant species to be placed into the context in a very natural way.
The monumental trees of this forest are the silent protagonists of this service along with the newlyweds. Impressive but discrete presences, they embrace and protect the two lovers in the pictures of the ceremony and reception, creating a tangible connection with the great world of Mother Nature. Symbol of solidity, the trees grow and support the reception tables, anchored among the mighty branches to give shape to the basic idea that is inspired by the famous image created by the great photographer Tim Walker. Tables suspended to accentuate the enchanted atmosphere already naturally present in the location, set up with dishes and tablecloths in essential raw fabric, moss, lots of wood, cyclamen and candles. To further enhance the fairytale characteristic, we introduced another silent and charming presence, donkeys from the Roccas livestock.
